February 26, 2019

Dear Family,
Last week I emailed about the Apex Fun Run program that is at our school for the next two weeks! The Apex program teaches leadership traits and fitness to our students who are raising pledges for the Fun Run next Thursday, February 28th.  You may pledge a dollar amount per lap ran (up to 36 laps) or make a flat donation.
Here’s how the fundraiser works
·        Each student already brought home an Apex Pledge Kit (pledge sheet attached to a lanyard).
·        Login at www.MyApexEvent.com using the access code found on the front of the pledge kit.  Since each child will receive a free t-shirt for the run, be sure to list your child's shirt size when you log in.
What we’re raising funds for
·         The majority of the funds raised this year will go to our school to pay for Technology, Outdoor Improvements and Student Enrichment Resources!
·        However, the school has promised that an additional 10% of whatever is raised by each class goes directly to that teacher to purchase items for their own classroom. That’s exciting!
Please help us reach our goal.

Campus News….
Field Day!!!
Field day will be on March 15th (the Friday before Spring Break). The schedule for each grade is listed below. In order to make this field day run smoothly, we will be asking for parent volunteers to help run each of the stations, in addition to our 5th grade helpers!

Please sign up online Field Day Sign Up Genius if you can commit to helping us at any of the following sessions on March 15th.

8:00 - 9:40 am 3rd and 5th Grade
10:00 - 11:40 am 2nd and 4th Grade
12:40 - 2:20 pm K and 1st Grade

Please note: If you would like to walk around with your child during their field day session, please do not volunteer to help during that time frame, as you will be assigned to a specific station. For more information, please visit our PE website. Thank you for all of your help and support in making field day such a memorable time for all of our students!
Sincerely,
PE
